Hot grill

I've had this Kuuma grill for several years. The positives are that it is good looking out of the box, portable, puts out a lot of cooking heat, rust-proof, and cools quickly so you can stow and go. It will last a very long time. The bad news is that its good looks fade quickly with use. It acquires a dull, yellowish brown varnish that is very difficult or impossible to remove. Any spatterings to the lid run out the back of the grill when the lid is opened. But the number one problem with this grill is that the grill surface is very close to the source of heat and not adjustable. Even on the low setting it tends to burn food rather than cook. Poaching food helps to mitigate this problem. Design improvements would be a rack that is adjustable vertically and a lip on the back of the lid to return spatterings to the inside.
