Build quality okay, but not a good grill

I paid over $5,000 for a Lynx Grill several years ago, and now I am thinking about replacing it with a $900 Weber S-330 grill. This grill has many problems. The lack of uniformity of the heat is the most notable. There is very little uniformity in the portion of the grill where the ceramic coals are located, and even less where the Pro-Sear infrared is. The Pro-Sear is really a waste of money. It's too hot for cooking, and it's not good for searing after a few months use, as fat drips into it and cause the center orifices to clog up. We've replaced it once, but have since given up on it. And if you don't use that part of the grill, you only have 2/3rds of a grill - there are no ceramic coals underneath it to provide normal heat, and it doesn't provide normal heat no matter what the Lynx advertising says.The igniters quit working after about a year; the thermometer is no more reliable than one on a $300 grill, and the light doesn't work anymore (even after replacing the bulb). It is difficult to clean, and it is difficult to find people who work on the grill, because the brand is not very widely known.I selected Lynx because it got good reviews by reviewers (not actual users, like at Amazon) who looked at all the features. But they hadn't used it over a period of several years. At the time I bought it, it was difficult to find a full-featured grill, but that is no longer the case. I bought it because of features and build quality. It is very sturdy - made of virtually all stainless steel, with burners that may last forever (if the orifices, which clog easily due to the material they are made of, are cleaned out regularly - of course, I didn't know that when I bought it - I found out from the Lynx operating instructions). I wrongly thought that the build quality meant I could keep it for twenty years, and it would always be great; that's simply not the case. The burners should be cleaned regularly, but they are hard to get to. While the build quality may be good, the grill is not well thought out. Problems and issues crop up with it as fast as with the inexpensive grills, and it costs more to fix due to the cost of replacement parts from Lynx. Also, the grill is extremely heavy (probably due to the build quality) so it is difficult to move, even on rollers.In hindsight, I think its best to buy a less expensive grill and plan to replace it every 5 years or so, rather than buying a grill that you expect to last 10 to 20 years. You'll save money in the long run.
