5Nice Grill, good bargain!
By Tpop
Transaction was painless...so far.....Grill was delivered by ABF in great condition.....this is very professional company to work with. Only 1 problem: one of the grates was cracked in 2 places and bowed. Scince the shipping box literally did not have a mark on it, a simple call to Onward (Broil King) got me a new grate in the mail. The division that actually handles the grates is BBQ Genius, but you can easily connect to them through Onward. CSR was prompt, pleasant and very helpful (I guess this is one of the advantages to buying a grill in the fall;). If the replacement grate arrives as promised, this will be a very smooth, enjoyable transaction. The Grill: Assembly was pretty straightforward and noticably easier than other grills I have put together. 14 steps total and about 20-30 fasteners. Study the pictures for a few minutes and it's a breeze. Time: about an hour.Construction: There is quite a bit of plastic on this grill, but it is still a very well-designed, sturdy appliance. The doors were a little tempermental at first, but after working them open/closed a few times, they smoothed-out. Rotisserie is good quality, grates are heavy and sear perfectly. The only thing I don't like is the thermometer. It seems to get stuck in a few places above 500 degrees. Maybe I tightened it up too tight or something or it just needs to "break-in", but a light tap and it will jump up by 50 degrees or so. Rotisserie burner and spit are easy to setup and remove. Warming rack is substantial for a grill in this price range. Wheels and casters are smooth, but somewhat lightweight.Cooking: This thing is freakin' HOT!!! 1st meal was burgers (to get some grease flowing) they were PERFECT. Rotisserie chicken was great. Rotisserie Pork center-loin was outstanding. Steaks are seared perfectly. This grill cooks like an $800 grill.....Amazing! Haven't used the side burner yet, but I would imagine it is like most in the price range....Summary: Yes, there is quite a bit of plastic. But there are high quality parts where it counts most. This is NOT a grill that you can fire up and walk away from, it's too hot for that. If however, you enjoy tending to a grill but don't want to spend a fortune to get first-class heating and cooking capabilities, this or one of the other Broil King models is a great choice.

5Great grill
By beachfun
My Ducane (made when Ducane was still the best and Weber got their hands on it)finally wore out. I spent a lot of time researching what is currently available that is well made, will last more than 2-3 years, and does not come with Webers price tag. This grill is extremely well made, the oven is cast aluminum like Weber, and easy to put together. As others have said it can go past 700 degrees, heating up in 10 minutes. It is manufactured with Canadian and American made parts. If you want a heavy duty grill at a reasonable price I strongly recommend this product. As to packaging some earlier comments concerned the packaging.Mine arrived in a heavy carton and was well packaged.

5Best grill for the money
By Chris B.
I bought this grill to replace a 10 year old Broil-King. I was going to buy one of the fancier, all-stainless grills, but with the exception of grills that are $1000 or better none got great reviews for holding temperatures well. This grill does for less than half the price. If you are at all mechanically inclined, assembly takes about an hour. I am very satisfied with this grill.
