5WOW!
By J. Sterling
What can I say... this grill is AWESOME. I got it for grilling freshly caught shrimp and fish here in Alaska, and I am *NOT* sorry I did. The solid design of this thing makes me think I'll have it for years to come. It is heavy, solid and the design that went into it is top notch. Together with a mount for your boat (I got the power-grip rod holder version) you will not be sorry. I only bought it a month ago but already it has seen a LOT of use. So far it has seen brats, shrimp, fish, burgers and a steak and has cooked them all to perfection. Crap, it grilled the brats better than my Weber Genesis at home! The heat dispersion is very even across the entire grill - I have not found an hot or cold spot on it yet. It also heats up very fast. And being able to remove PART of the heat dispersal shield to place a pan or coffee pot on it is a HUGE bonus - I was not aware of this when I bought it but it makes me much happier in my purchase. The drawbacks I have found are namely it is big... storing it is an issue. I wonder if I could have done with the smaller 15" version? I don't want to leave it mounted on the boat, like I have seen many do, so it takes up a lot of space. Since my boat is a fishing boat, it takes up a rod holder and fishing space. But in the evening it's nice to cook up the catch! :-) The other drawback is related to taking it on/off with every use - it is big, and heavy, and hangs over the side of the boat - which makes me worry about losing it over the side! HAHA... that would suck. But, being VERY careful, and paying attention, I really don't think it is an issue. And if someone were to just leave it mounted it would not be an issue. These drawbacks are related to my use of the grill, and not enough to drop even a star in the rating. If you're on the fence with a purchase... do it. You WON'T be sorry.

1not so funny this grill
By Blubaju
I live on a sail boat in Asia, unpacked a wonderful looking, shiny grill, but then:why they deliver a regulator with a crazy 1/8" NPT when they need an adapter for even their own hoses?? Btw. impossible to find any NPT adapters outside US.In Europe we have 30 and 50mb gas pressure, common is 50, I had to look for a special reducer as MAGMA requires 30mb pressure (this paragraph is no critic, but for info for others only).Opening the grill the inner parts are less shiny than outside, actually, they are as they came out from the machine and have not been polished. Only a minor optical issue? no in my opinion as the grease sticks betterafter a few uses it became apparent, the stainless is not the first grade material as expected, starts to corrode very soon, needs painstaking cleaning after every use and plenty FRESH water which is not so easy to obtain on a boat far from a marina, we do have a watermaker, but still we are a well performing weight critical catamaran, so weight is an issue. Maybe a reason for quicker rust is the production method, stainless does not like to be deformed in a rolling process, if you can, go for one of the "rectangular" boxes. I should have known better, stainless was my business for many years.flame should be beside, not below the dome that becomes very hot, dropping fat burns in big flames! Now it helps me reducing weight, only grill "dry" stuff, fatless!Sorry to say, I had many better grills in my entire life - I am 60 and had a few. Seems good promotion and nice upmarks for the sellers sells everything
