I have never written a review this harsh on such a poor product. This unit is completely worthless. Let's start with the as-received product:--Missing top lid hinge part (can't attach lid to base)--Missing burner tube attach screw (gasket loose, fire hazard)--Broken side handle (right side)--Cracked side handle (left side)--Improper-fit/shape/size thermal meter (square instead of round)--Legs don't fit base without bending--Leg quick-releases don't work--Leg hinges mis-drilled, incorrectly fabricated, bent/crooked--Leg rubber bumpers fold over and fall outNow for functionality (I did not use the grill, but I have a lot of grilling experience, so I can see how it would work out):--Burner heat spreader too close to grill--Spindly coated grill will warp, chip, be very hard to clean--No drip/catch area/pan capability - - all the debris would just end up in the flat bottom of the base, which has 20 or so up-curled holes in it (presumably to contain the dripping). Cleaning would be a nightmare.Since I did not use the grill (couldn't finish assembling it due to all the above problems), I can't comment on how evenly or hot it heats. I did notice that the burner tube has no intake-air adjustment or screen, and hangs out in the outside air space. This could make for uneven burning/heating but that's just a guess.Overall, what a TERRIBLE product. I buy a LOT of stuff from Amazon. This is the only time I ever wished they had a zero-star rating.

good solid product, gets very hot

bought 6 of these to use for boy scout pack, so they are taking a far amount of abuse. legs are a little flimsy. grill gets hotter then you will ever need.

Great Unit

This is a great unit that is correctly advertised to be everything that it claims to be. It is the right size for two people who occasionally cook for friends.
