5Great for small patio
By Macfan 424
I wanted a quality grill with a small footprint for my smallish patio. I only cook for myself, no longer have the patience to deal with charcoal, and was never completely satisfied with my previous electric grill. This and the Weber Q were my finalists. My decision was made for me when I received this one as a Birthday gift.Once past the assembly, I love it. It suits my needs perfectly, heating up quickly, and cooking very nicely. I don't do anything fancy, so I'll leave it to others to evaluate anything beyond basic burger, sausage, steak, chop, chicken grilling, which is about all I ever use a grill for.Mine will stay put on the patio until I roll it away for winter, so I have a large 20 lb. tank attached. It fits between the legs, under the grill. The thermometer is a necessity for me, and the fold out trays are proving more useful than expected. The cooking area is more than needed for my purposes. Cleaning seems no more or less burdensome than any other grill I've used.I'd dock it a half star for its imperfect assembly instructions and less than sterling factory quality control, but since Amazon doesn't offer that option, I left it at five, as its shortcomings will be forgotten over the grill's service lifetime while its positives will continue to be enjoyed.Assembly is a bit tedious, and it would be possible to make some errors that the instructions won't necessarily help you avoid. Thankfully, an Amazon customer posted some pictures here that helped greatly. In the end, it took this all-thumbs 79 year old about 45 minutes to assemble by myself (carefully checking the instructions and this site as I went). I'd guess that a more dexterous younger person with a little help could do it much faster. The first one I received arrived with a severely bent front lid handle. Since there was no apparent damage to either the outer shipping box or the inner factory box, I can only assume that it came from the factory that way. (As usual, Amazon handled that with aplomb, getting the replacement to me and picking up the defective one within two days, and with absolutely no hassle.)The second one's thermometer is misaligned, annoying, but not a deal breaker since it functions as it should. It does add to my belief that no one in the Chinese factory inspects these before they are shipped, though.Still, overall I'm very happy with this grill and would certainly recommend it to anyone with similar needs.

3Not portable at all
By A. Naim
Negatives:Well to start with, the installation instructions are very confusing. It took me 1 and half hours to make the rollaway section. And to attach the grill to the rollaway requires two person, or you need to turn the grill upside down. To me it doesnt make sense at all. They could have sold a pre installed with a big carton but atleast professionaly installed.Cleaning is a hassle, really not easy to clean. Not only you have to clean the grill plate, but the interior with all the debris and grease. And the manual says use no water or solution for the interior. Lets see how long it lasts.anyone wanting to take for camping or on the road this really needs a big car trunk to fit. I suggest getting another small grill such as Weber Q100 or Q120 and buying a foldable table to keep on. That really is a portable grill.Positive:Good thing is that it is very easy to use, and I would say it cooks 75% evenly. So 75% of the surface is really hot which I feel is good enough. It really is a big grill. The ignition switch works perfectly atleast for now.

5Great grill!
By EW
This is my first Cuisinart Grill and I must say that me and my husband love it!!! We bought this model because we were looking for something that we could take with use to beach bbqs, tailgating, and for when we are cooking small quanities and dont need to fire up the bigger gas grill. Well, this grill did not dissappoint it went from box to cooking to under a hour with assembly being very easy to follow. The cooking space is perfect for up to six burgers and the non-stick grate made cleanup a breeze!!! The feature that we both really love is the abiltiy to roll the grill from place to place with very little effort, making it the perfect grill to take with you wherever you go. I highly reccomend this grill if you are looking for a smaller powerful option to a full size grill that you can take with you when needed.
