2Won awards on looks, not certainly not on function
By MJL
PROS: BBQ looks good, thus the awards. Dual adjustable ring burners allow for good heat control. The battery powered ignitor has NEVER failed me, even after 2 years - unheard of. Cast iron grill leaves your meat with that cool criss cross pattern of a real BBQ chef.CONS: Even with both burners going, it seems under-powered. Cooking times are significantly longer. There is almost no thermal mass to the device since the only substance is in the cast iron gril itself. Note too that the grill is round, so it is hard to take advantage of all of the open surface space - square is definitely much better. There is a 5" diam 2" deep dimple on the top (where the handle goes)that fills with water. Birds love it, I curse it when it pours down my leg when I open the lid. There is an internal clip on the lid for hanging it up. It is on the wrong side - designer was apparenly left handed. There is a grease catch cup buried up high underneath the grill - I DARE you to get it out without spilling it down the inside of the BBQ and on the deck. Because there are no ceramic rocks or anything between the burner and the grill, ALL of the grease runs out in liquid form, so you become familiar fast with the catch cup (Full us usually acknowledged by the puddle on the deck ...). Any other BBQ I have owned burned almost all of the grease off, with the smoke creating a large part of the BBQ flavour which is all but absent anyway on a gas BBQ.As it was a gift, all of this I could work around, but probably the MOST annoying part is that it cannot be cleaned - again, because nothing burns off, it piles up inside and there is no simple way to get the greasy gooey black mess out short of laying it on its side and hammering it with a pressure washer. For the price, give me a tried and true cast aluminum Broilking, and you will have enough cash left over for a side of beef or a lifetime supply of propane.

5Great Grill!
By Flow290
After testing out the Fuego portable grill and very happy with it, I ordered the Gray Element grill for my deck and cooked on it over the Memorial Day weekend. The grill comes mostly assembled, it took me just five minutes to screw the wheels and handles on- and it was ready to start cooking. With the lid on- the grill heated up to 600 degrees within 10 minutes, and I got great sear marks on the 12oz rib-eye steaks from Costco cooking on direct heat.Next I tried a lightly salted sea bass steak wrapped in aluminum foil and turned on just the outside burner and with the lid on, cooked it indirect. 10 minute later, perfectly cooked, moist and flaky- all the juice remained in the aluminum wrap. A touch of olive oil, sprinkle some soy sauce and chopped union- a perfect 10 minute seafood dish!I let the grill sit until the next morning before cleaning; I re-heated the grill and brushed off most of the burnt residue on cast iron grill plate. I cleaned the remaining of the bowl after the grill cooled- with the shark steam cleaner and it worked rather well. What I love most about the product is its large cooking surface but a very mobile and compact footprint. Instead of storing it outside, I just roll the grill inside the garden storage shed.BTW call their 800 number (800-88-FUEGO) if you need product related information, they were extremely helpful to explain why some of the grills last year had heating issues because of faulty regulators and how to avoid purchasing older generation grills.

5Best Grill Ever!
By P. Seto
This is the best grill that I have ever used!I have been using this grill for several months now and am in love with it! I have both the pizza stone and the griddle accessory and use them extensively. My son has been making pizza on this grill like no tomorrow. The pizza comes out with a nice crunchy crust. I've used the griddle stone for veggies, short ribs, shrimp, and many other delectables. What I really, really like about this grill are that the standard grill AND the griddle are cast iron. It takes a little longer to heat up the cast iron but, once done, it holds heat much better and it also distributes it more evenly.Having the dual zones is also very helpful. I've used it many times to cook chicken or ribs or pork loin, over an indirect heat. The only drawback is that I think I now need two or three of these grills so that I can use more that one grill surface at a time.Honey, I know what I want for Father's Day. :-)
