VERY VERY DISAPOINTED WITH LYNX
By uphappy with Lynx
First review I have ever written. Bought this unit and am very very disapointed. Unit has caught on fire 3 times (electrical). First time Lynx sent me the replacment parts free saying there was an electrical defect in this model36" Pro Sear Natural gas grill. 2nd and 3rd times it caught on fire I had to purchase the parts from LYNX. Over $200 for each fire. All electrical problems. I have spent much time on the phone with Lynx and I have been told its from the wind to, not supposed to leave the top closed for more than 25 minutes at a time while cooking, to the type of steak I am cooking. I dont use the unit any more. First I can't afford to spend over $200 each time it catches on fire, and second I dont want to burn my fence or house down. I purchased a smoker and a propane (not a fan of propane) grill which is set up next to my $4,000 Lynx. I bought this unit because of the good reviews the unit and their customer service got. What a mistake. First off over $4,000 for a BBQ is kind of crazy, second is all the excuses they have for the problem. Would never buy or recommend this unit again. I hope this review helps somebody not to make the same mistake I did.
